How We Communicate
We strongly believe in the importance of communicating with you regularly so that you are kept informed of your child's learning, development and achievements in school but also with key messages such as upcoming diary dates. There are many ways that we will communicate with you:
- Email - all letters will be sent via email via our school app. Please make sure you update us if you change your email address. If you require a paper copy of any letters that are sent, please contact the Main School Office.
- Class Dojo - we will update you with any key messages about learning and classroom events from your child's classroom, such as award winners on a Friday after our Celebration Assembly. Key messages for the whole school will also appear on your news feed.
- Website - all correspondence and key school information can also be found on the school website.
- Microsoft Teams - Occassionally, we may conduct essential meetings remotely using Microsoft Teams.
- Telephone - if we need to contact you urgently, we will use the details provided to contact you. Please do inform us if your contact details change.
Class Dojo
We ask that all parents sign up for class Dojo at the start of each year. Class Dojo is an excellent way for us to maintain high levels of communication with parents as well as a number of other benefits such as:
- Regular updates and reminders of special events such as non-uniform days
- Videos and photographs of what the children have been learning in class each week
- Messenger system so parents can send direct messages to school staff
- Portfolio section - so parents can upload work or activities children have completed at home. This may be a set piece of homework or just an achievement the children would like to share such as learning to swim or riding their bike
- Opportunity to see the Dojo points the children earn throughout the week for positive behaviour in school
You can learn more about Class Dojo by visiting their website www.classdojo.com or reading our information leaflet here.
